These Terms of Use govern your use of the website of the Journal of Geoeconomics (“the Journal”), a Canadian open-access scholarly journal owned and published by Geoeconomics Press (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The Journal’s website and publishing platform are hosted through PKP Publishing Services, Simon Fraser University.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time by posting a revised version on the site. Continued use of the site after any changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

The Journal of Geoeconomics is a Canadian open-access scholarly journal. Geoeconomics Press is an independent Canadian publisher that supports and contributes to geoeconomics research and analysis, knowledge generation, knowledge exchange, and public understanding through peer-reviewed publishing, open dissemination, research engagement, and related activities.

This website supports the Journal’s publishing, editorial, informational, and public-facing activities.

The content on this site is provided for scholarly, educational, and general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, investment, policy, or other professional advice.

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s design, branding, logos, and other non-article materials are owned by or licensed to Geoeconomics Press.

You may use this site for lawful, personal, educational, research, and other legitimate purposes consistent with its open-access and scholarly mission.

You may not use the site in a way that unlawfully interferes with its operation, attempts unauthorized access, misrepresents affiliation, removes attribution or proprietary notices, or falsely suggests endorsement by the Journal or publisher.

Nothing in these Terms limits lawful use of openly licensed scholarly content in accordance with the licence attached to that content.

  1. Submission and Platform Use

Manuscript submission, peer review, editorial processing, registration, publication, and related functions may be administered through PKP’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) or related infrastructure.

By submitting material to the Journal, you represent that you have the right to do so and that the submission does not knowingly infringe the rights of others or violate applicable law or journal policy.

Submission, review, and publication may also be governed by separate author guidelines, editorial policies, publication agreements, and licence terms.
