Journal of Geoeconomics Launches with Volume 1 (2026) & Standing Call for Submissions

2026-05-19

The Journal of Geoeconomics is pleased to announce its launch with the publication of Volume 1 (2026), the journal’s inaugural volume.

We are grateful to our esteemed Editorial Board, authors, reviewers, and contributors for helping bring the Journal to publication. Their dedicated support has made possible this new open-access venue for research and analysis on geoeconomics.

The Journal publishes continuously, with one volume per year and articles added as they become ready for publication.

The Journal of Geoeconomics welcomes submissions on a rolling basis across all article formats, including Original Research Articles and Reviews, Short Research Articles, Policy Reports, Policy Proposals, Cases and Insights.

The Journal welcomes a wide range of disciplinary and methodological approaches to the study of geoeconomics, including quantitative, qualitative, comparative, policy-oriented, and applied research. Submissions may address the use of economic instruments for strategic purposes, the behaviour of states, the responses and strategies of non-state actors, and the wider economic, political, and security implications of geoeconomic competition.

Authors are invited to review the journal’s submission guidelines and submit manuscripts via the Submissions Portal.
